volumetric pipet to accurately and precisely dispense
solutions
·
organization and
reporting of measurements and results including appropriate units and

·
use of a buret to

·
knowledge of stoichiometric calculations needed for a titration
·
experimental
technique and ability to arrive at a predetermined experimental result
The exam activities are
modeled after experiments recently conducted during earlier labs. The procedures you learned in those
experiments should be sufficient to complete the exam activities. Each student will be performing the same
basic types of activities, but each will be assigned different solutions to
work with.
You will have a 1 h 25 min to
complete the work required for the exam.
Depending on the number of students in the lab, half of the class will
be randomly assigned to work during the first half of the lab period. The other half will work during the second
half of the lab period. When you have
completed all lab work, you may sit quietly and complete your calculations and
report. You may only use your instructor
or TA as a reference and may not discuss measurements or methods with any of
your classmates. When you have completed
your report, you are free to leave the exam.
You are allowed to bring
