Department Chair Search
The University of Central Arkansas (UCA) is seeking applications and nominations for the position of Chair of the Department of Chemistry. The department consists of 15 tenured or tenure-track faculty, is housed in a dedicated four-story building, and offers the ACS-approved degree in chemistry. The department has a long history in undergraduate education in terms of both classroom instruction and the inclusion of undergraduates in research and scholarly activity. The candidate is expected to have an earned Ph.D. in Chemistry or Biochemistry, be a successful classroom instructor, possess strong leadership and administrative skills, and be active in the discipline. Significant experience with undergraduate involvement in research is desirable. The appointment will be made at the Professor or Associate Professor level and the anticipated starting date is July 1, 2008.
